The Milestones Project is a perfect partner for those involved in education and community building. Our exhibits are ideal for libraries, schools and faith-learning environments. The acclaimed Milestones Project Book is becoming a vital part of public school curricula – be it language arts, social studies, character development or art. The Milestones K-8 Passport to Inclusion curriculum is a wonderful means of inspiring and documenting those milestones that lead to understanding and community enrichment. We invite you to learn more about these tools by contacting us directly.
The many contributions from internationally known advocates and children’s authors woven throughout the Milestones Project book make possible many connections for our children as they linger over the beautiful pictures and stories. The selections written by children around the world inspire them to create and publish their milestone stories. The opportunity to mix compelling images from around the world, both in the gallery exhibitions and in the Milestones’ Project, and the messages of what we share in common coincided with our desire to offer our students authentic things to think about and children to ‘see.’ We plan to allow these initiatives to unfold and share the ‘best practices’ as they emerge over the next several years.—Shirley D.
